Job summary

Colorado Mountain College seeks an instructor for non-credit Community Education. Compensation is based on Pay Levels 1-5, with new faculty paid from $20 to $60 per hour. Campus supervisor assigns pay level based on expertise and evidence in the instructional area.

Applicants should demonstrate commitment to serving students, employees, and community members of all backgrounds. Preference for bilingual English/Spanish or conversational language abilities.

Qualifications

• An equivalent/applicable combination of education and/or experience to perform the duties of the position is required with teaching in continuing education or community education.
• Experience teaching in non-credit/community education is preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes as assigned by the campus supervisor.
• Prepare appropriate lesson plans for each course in accordance with approved outcomes.
• Develop professional relationships with students and staff to encourage communication.
• Assist in recruitment of students as appropriate.
• Assist in evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance.
• Represent the college professionally in communities and the college district.
• Complete required annual CMC training courses (e.g., Title IX, Digital Accessibility, Data Security and Privacy).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
