Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee, KS is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will assist in sterile processing, set up, provide instruments and supplies, and support the surgical team during procedures to ensure patient safety.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, BLS, and 1+ year OR experience. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth in a trusted health system.

Responsibilities

Provides and maintains a safe physical environment in the operating room and sterile processing.
Follows department and hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Maintains aseptic technique at all times.
Collaborates as a member of the surgical team and assists in the setup, maintenance and breakdown of the sterile field.
Provides necessary instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
Participates in care of the surgical patient.
Performs duties in a timely and efficient manner.

Provides and maintains a safe physical environment. Adheres to standards and protocols when working in the operating room and sterile processing. Displays working knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and supplies. Follows department and hospital policies and regulatory standards. Maintains aseptic technique at all times. Carries out responsibilities in an appropriate manner. Works collaboratively as a member of the surgical team. Manages workload efficiently. Uses equipment proficiently and safely. Assists in the assembly, set‑up, maintenance, and breakdown of the sterile field. Supports the surgical team by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
