Job summary

SCA Health, part of Optum, is hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist. Join a team dedicated to patient care across a network of ambulatory centers.

In this role you will scrub during operative and invasive procedures, prepare instruments, and assist with room turnover and post-procedure cleanup. A high school diploma or GED, completion of Surgical Technologist course, and two years OR experience are required; ASC experience and ORT certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certification.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist course.
• Two years previous operating room experience.
• ASC experience preferred.
• ORT certification preferred.
• Training program for surgical technology in the armed forces of the United States, the National Guard or in the United States Public Health Services

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or GED certification

Completion of Surgical Technologist course

Two years previous operating room experience

ASC experience preferred

ORT certification preferred

Training program for surgical technology in armed forces/public health services
