Job summary

Crotched Mountain is seeking a Non-Certified Snowboard Instructor for the 2026/2027 winter season to teach groups and individuals, with a focus on safety and guest service.

You’ll work with guests of all ages, including children, in a fun learning environment. Must be fluent in English, comfortable on groomed blue terrain, and available weekends and holidays. Starting wage is $20.00 per hour, with opportunities across mountain departments.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable snowboarding on groomed blue terrain.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Must be willing to work weekends/holidays.
• Minimum age 16 years.

Responsibilities

• Teach group and private snowboard lessons.
• Work with guests of all ages, including children.
• Deliver world-class guest service.
• Create a safe and fun learning environment.
• Support snow sports school operations and equipment handling.
• Provide guest feedback to inspire lifelong snowboarders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support all needs of the snow sports school: inclusive of scanning, running surface lifts, facilitating lunch, fitting equipment
• Provide guest feedback that inspires and creates lifelong snowboarders

Job Requirements:

• Must be comfortable and competent snowboarding on groomed blue terrain
• Must be willing to work with guests of all ages and have a strong level of comfort with children aged 3 and older
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
• Must be willing to work weekends/Holidays
• Must be comfortable being in snowboard boots for extended period of time
• Placement as an instructor is contingent upon successfully completing training and meeting the minimum skill, guest service, and safety standards.

As a Non-Certified Snowboard Instructor, you have the ability to be a flexible employee who works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one-resort mentality which could include:

• Lift Experience
• Mountain Activities
• Food and Beverage Support
• Base Area Operations
• Retail Rental Operations

Additional requirements for hires under age 18:

Submission of a Parental Consent Form upon hire, along with other applicable documents required by state law; such as a work permit, physician's note, and/or proof of birthdate

The expected pay range is$20.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
