Job summary

Avalon Health Care Group is hiring a dedicated Non-Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA to join Uintah Basin Rehabilitation and Senior Villa in Roosevelt, UT. The role pays $15.00 per hour and offers full-time and on-call positions with an extended orientation and exceptional preceptor support.

The CNA will perform direct resident care under licensed supervision and promote a compassionate environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Nurse Assistant Training program; Certificate required
• Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Must meet all local health regulations, pass post-employment physical exam, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.

Responsibilities

• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure.
• Ambulate residents.
• Apply proper lifting and transferring techniques.
• Provide proper positioning and use of postural supports.
• Maintain residents’ positioning, as needed.
• Weigh residents on schedule and record weights accurately.
• Directly respond, within the scope of practice, to needs and concerns of residents and family members.
• Work with the care giving team to identify and resolve resident and family issues.
• Establish effective communication/interaction with residents and families.
• Use proper feeding techniques while respecting personal dignity and meeting the residents’ needs for socialization.
