Job summary

Zūm Services, Inc. is seeking a Non-CDL Van Driver in Branford, CT to safely transport students to and from school and related activities. This safety-sensitive position emphasizes student safety and a positive, secure environment on every trip.

The driver will perform pre-trip inspections, monitor behavior, and maintain open communication with families and school staff while upholding safety standards and a supportive atmosphere for students.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Additional certifications required by state for legal non-CDL van operation.
• Minimum 5 years of driving experience in a passenger vehicle (WAC 392-144-101).
• Minimum age: 21 years.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test.
• Physical ability to assist students and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Ensure student safety during boarding, transit, and exiting the vehicle.
