Job summary

Homewood Mountain Resort in California is seeking a Non-CDL Van Driver to join the Parking & Transportation Department. This role focuses on safely transporting guests and employees while delivering professional guest service.

You will maintain required records, communicate with the Director of Base Operations, and may transport staff or guests off-site as needed. A Class C license and good driving record are required; ski/hospitality experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Experience in passenger transportation or shuttle driving preferred.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Prior ski resort or hospitality experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports guests and employees while maintaining all required daily records and documentation.
• Maintain records in compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and CHP requirements.
• Communicate effectively with all departments, including leadership, via phone, text, email, or in person.
• Occasionally transport staff or guests off site as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Homewood Mountain & Lake Club, set on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe in Homewood, California.

Homewood is seeking a Non-CDL Van Driver to join the Parking & Transportation Department.

Job Summary

Non-CDL Van Drivers are responsible for safely transporting guests and employees while providing professional, reliable, and courteous guest service.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely transports guests and employees while maintaining all required daily records and documentation, including driver check-out sheets, passenger counts, and fueling records.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with all applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and California Highway Patrol (CHP) requirements.
• Communicate effectively with all departments, including the Director of Base Operations, using phone, text, email, two-way radio, and in-person communication.
• Occasionally may be required to transport staff or guests off site as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Class C Driver License and a driving record meeting the standards required by Homewood’s insurance carrier.
• Previous experience in passenger transportation, shuttle driving, or a similar role is preferred.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Prior ski resort or hospitality experience preferred.
• 18 years of age or older.

• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

The Company’s good faith estimate of the hourly rate it expects to pay for this role is $22.60-$26 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
