Job summary

STS Recycling, LLC is seeking a Fleet Operator (Non-CDL) in Texas to ensure safe, timely transportation of goods using light vehicles under 26,001 pounds GVW. You will load, inspect, and deliver to facilities, customers, and vendors with a focus on cargo security and accuracy.

Responsibilities include pre-trip/post-trip inspections, compliance with DOT rules, maintaining records, and professional customer interactions to support operations and service quality.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Preferably 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math for receipt handling and logs.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to safe driving and cargo securement.
• Pass all required drug and alcohol screenings.
• Successfully complete a road test and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles independently or with assistance, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
• Verify and maintain shipment documentation, ensuring accuracy between manifests, labels, and cargo details.
• Conduct pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections to maintain compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Transport freight safely while complying with traffic laws, weight restrictions, and company policies.
• Maneuver vehicles in tight spaces such as congested streets, parking lots, and loading docks.
• Maintain all required records, including trip logs, fuel receipts, and delivery confirmations.
• Adhere to all company policies and federal, state, and local regulations for safe vehicle operation.
• Promptly report any accidents, vehicle malfunctions, or irregularities encountered during transport.
• Provide professional interactions with customers, coworkers, and third parties to uphold company reputation.
