Job summary

UES is seeking a field materials sampler/driver to travel to construction sites and production facilities to collect concrete and other construction material samples and transport them to the testing laboratory. This role ensures proper labeling, handling, and chain of custody while completing required documentation.

The position pays $27 per hour with benefits and a $65 monthly cell phone stipend. A DOT physical is required, and limited relocation is available for commuting candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical coursework preferred.
• 5+ years in construction materials testing or geotechnical lab work.
• Commitment to OSHA and PPE safety protocols.
• Basic computer proficiency: MS Office and data collection software.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a large flatbed truck (F450–F500 class) transporting loads typically 4,000–6,000 pounds.
• Lift up to 80 pounds and move 3,000–6,000 pounds twice daily while loading/unloading.
• Follow safety procedures, DOT guidelines, and company policies on active construction sites.
• Maintain chain of custody and proper labeling/handling of samples; pass DOT physical.
