Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a delivery driver to load, transport, and deliver building materials to customer sites. You will adhere to safety regulations, provide professional service, and ensure on-time deliveries with accurate logs.

Responsibilities include loading, securing, delivering, unloading, and maintaining vehicle safety, plus using hand held devices for DVIR/HOS compliance and supporting customer satisfaction. Strong safety mindset required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, and valid driver’s license.
• Pass MVR report.
• Obtain a DOT medical card within five days of request.
• Have fewer than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure products inside delivery vehicle.
• Deliver customer orders to sites and unload safely.
• Verify orders and maintain delivery logs including weights and miles.
• Act as a customer service liaison and resolve issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicles and perform safety checks.
• Operate hand held devices for DVIR and HOS compliance.
• Maintain hours of service logs and pre/post trip inspections.
• May perform credit/product return pickups and related paperwork.
• Operate forklift or non-motorized handling equipment as needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures and participate in safety meetings.
