Job summary

Mail Management Services, Inc. is hiring a Part Time Non CDL truck driver to serve our mission of providing reliable service for customers. The role requires at least 12 months of verifiable box truck driving within the last 5 years, a valid driver’s license, and being 23 or older.

You must meet driving standards and pass USPS/federal screenings, a DOT physical, and a pre-employment drug test. Lifting up to 100 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• 12 months of verifiable box truck driving experience within the last 5 years
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be at least 23 years of age or older
• Must meet company driving standards and maintain acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR)
• Employment contingent upon USPS and federal pre-employment screenings
• Must lift up to 100 lbs repeatedly
• Must pass a DOT Physical and pre-employment drug test (company-paid)
• Proficient in basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Drivers must arrive on time daily.
• Inspect the truck before, during, and after the run (pre-trip/post-trip) and notify the local operations manager of issues.
• Complete job daily within company procedures and policies and applicable regulations.
• Report delays that affect on-time arrival at postal facilities.

Job description

• Schedule: Monday - Saturday, 4:55 AM - 9:15 AM
• Pay: Guaranteed 5 hours of pay per day (block pay).
• Additional Hours: Optional extra hours available on Sundays.
• Temporary Route Coverage: Driver will temporarily cover an assigned route while the regular driver is on leave.
• Long-Term Position: Once the regular driver returns, the new hire will remain employed as a floater, providing coverage on various routes as needed.

*$27.40 in Regular Hourly Pay+ $5.55 in Health & Wellness Pay(paid up to 40 hours per week)- Health & Wellness Pay is used to offset monthly health insurance premiums. Health & Wellness pay is added to your paycheck no matter if you choose insurance or not.

Job Requirements:

• At least 12 months of VERIFIABLE box truck driving experience within the last 5 years
• Possess valid driver's license
• Must be at least 23 years of age or older.
• Must meet company driving standards and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with applicable law.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all USPS and federally required pre-employment screenings.
• Must be able to perform frequent lifting and pushing/pulling wheeled carts up to 100lbs**
• Must pass a DOT Physical and Pre-employment drug test (company paid)
• Proficient in basic computer skills

** Drivers may be required to load, unload, sort, and handle cargo to and from trailers by hand or by use of mechanical equipment such as carts or a pallet jack. The driver must be able to bend, stoop, twist, climb and move freely in the handling of cargo that may weigh more than 100 pounds. The driver must be able to lift from 60 - 100 pounds. The driver must be able to lift 60 pounds over the head and must be able to exert a minimum of 70 pounds pull pressure on the 5th wheel lock and trailer tandem release.The driver must be able to safely maneuver a cart weighing up to 500 pounds.

Job Responsibilities:

• Drivers must arrive on time daily.
• Drivers must inspect the truck before, during, and after the run for problems. (pre-trip/post-trip) (DVIR) Notify the local operations manager of any issues.
• Complete job daily within guidelines of company procedures and policies, as well as federal and state regulations of operating motor vehicles.
• Report any delays (weather, traffic, breakdowns) that will interfere with on-time arrival at postal facilities.
