Job summary

NorthEast Electrical in Hartford, CT is seeking a Full-time Local Route Driver to transport materials to customers using a company vehicle. This non-CDL role requires a clean MVR and a 3am start, Monday through Friday, with a competitive hourly wage.

You will perform daily vehicle inspections, load and unload goods, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety and accuracy in all paperwork. NorthEast Electrical is part of Sonepar and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid license with a clean MVR for the past 5 years.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages up to 75 lbs.
• Strongmath and reading skill.
• Strong work ethic and reliability

Responsibilities

• Delivering material to customers in a timely manner.
• Maintain vehicle in safe working condition and perform daily inspections.
• Load/unload trucks and move materials using forklift/pallet jack.
• Complete paperwork and data entry according to procedures.
• Assist with general duties and related tasks as directed by manager.

As a NorthEast Electrical Union Driver for the Hartford, CT location, you will be the face of the company driving a company provided truck to transport materials to our valued customers. Responsibilities include operating company equipment in a safe manner, while ensuring that our product is in perfect condition and ready for our customers. The responsibilities listed below are encompassing of a Warehouse Driver but may vary accordingly.

What a day in this role looks like:

• Delivering material in a timely manner to customers.


• Maintaining vehicle in proper working condition – conduct daily inspections as stated in established policies and procedures.


• Load and unload trucks, move material in a safe manner using forklift, pallet jack, handcart, or other device.


• Count, check, prepare, and record items being received or shipped.


• May assemble, package, label, stack, palletize, and route material for safe delivery or storage.


• Complete paperwork, documentation, and data input in accordance with established procedures.


• Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties.


• Perform other related duties as required or directed by manager.
