Job summary

NorthEast Electrical is seeking a full-time Local Route, NON CDL Driver to join our team in Hartford, CT. The role starts early, Monday through Friday, with a $23.50 per hour rate and duties involving on-time material delivery, vehicle upkeep, loading/unloading, and accurate documentation.

You will operate in a safety-conscious environment, perform daily inspections, and contribute to a reliable supply chain for contractors and customers in the Northeast.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid license with a clean MVR for the past 5 years.
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 75 lbs.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver material in a timely manner to customers.
• Maintain vehicle in proper working condition and conduct daily inspections.
• Load and unload trucks using forklift, pallet jack, or handcart.
• Count, check, and record items received or shipped.
• Complete paperwork and data input per procedures.
• Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

What a Day In This Role Looks Like

• Delivering material in a timely manner to customers.
• Maintaining vehicle in proper working condition - conduct daily inspections as stated in established policies and procedures.
• Load and unload trucks, move material in a safe manner using forklift, pallet jack, handcart, or other device.
• Count, check, prepare, and record items being received or shipped.
• May assemble, package, label, stack, palletize, and route material for safe delivery or storage.
• Complete paperwork, documentation, and data input in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties.
• Perform other related duties as required or directed by manager.
