Job summary

Bunzl is seeking a professional Driver to safely operate Bunzl trucks and deliver goods to customers locally and across longer routes.

You will perform vehicle inspections, log the trips, and load/unload cargo while adhering to safety rules and maintaining a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C license and clean driving record.
• Active medical card and ability to maintain DQ file.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.
• Ability to operate various commercial vehicles and lift up to 30 lb.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Willingness to pass background check and drug tests.
• Experience with GPS routing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Bunzl truck and deliver goods to local and long-distance destinations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain logs.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading and ensure items are secured.
• Maintain a clean driving record and report issues promptly.

A Day in the Life

• Safely operate a Bunzl truck.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class C Drivers License
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to maintain an active medical card and a current DQ file
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

Preferred Requirements

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.

Hourly rate for this position will be $22-28/hr based on experience, education, and geographic location.
