Job summary

Bunzl is seeking a professional Driver to safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer and other commercial vehicles. You will perform inspections, deliver to local and long-distance customer sites, and adhere to all safety regulations and company policies in this role.

Qualified applicants will hold a valid Class A CDL, possess a clean driving record, and be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds for loading/unloading.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Must maintain a clean driving record per fleet safety standards.
• Must be able to operate and navigate various commercial vehicles.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading duties.
• Must follow safety regulations and driving best practices.

Responsibilities

A Day in the Life:

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves:

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

What We Prefer:

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
