Job summary

Bunzl North America is seeking drivers to join our team, delivering goods to customer locations locally and long-distance. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and handle loading/unloading with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C Driver's License.
• Clean driving record based on fleet safety standards.
• Active medical card and a current DQ file.
• Ability to operate and navigate various commercial vehicles.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform loading/unloading.
• Pass background check, drug tests, and DOT regulations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Bunzl truck and deliver goods to customer locations locally and long-distance.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain logs/paperwork.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and maintain cargo security.
• Report vehicle issues and ensure proper maintenance coordination.

Job description

A Day in the Life

• Safely operate a Bunzl truck.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class C Drivers License
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to maintain an active medical card and a current DQ file
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

Preferred Requirements

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
• Hazmat Endorsement

Hourly rate for this position will be $22-28/hr based on experience, education, and geographic location.
