Job summary

Trilogy MedWaste in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Non-CDL Driver to safely collect medical waste from healthcare facilities along scheduled routes. You will operate company vehicles, perform pre/post trip inspections, and maintain manifests with accuracy while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid driver’s license (Class C or higher), ability to lift up to 65 lbs, DOT compliance, and travel up to 10% to other Trilogy facilities.

Qualifications

• Must have a good driving record within 3 years; no accidents reported.
• Must have excellent customer service skills with employees, customers and regulators.
• Must understand how to use a computer for data entry.
• Must be able to use a software app on a mobile phone for manifest documentation.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing business demands and new tasks/software/protocols.
• Must meet all applicable DOT licensing requirements (Class C or higher; Class A/B also acceptable).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner’s Card (MEC).

Responsibilities

• Collect containers from health care offices.
• Drive vehicle to customer locations along determined routes.
• Complete required training and inspections (pre & post trip).
• Maintain Hours of Service log as required.
• Review and sign manifests and shipping papers.
• Provide customer training on manifesting and packaging.
• Properly label, load, and secure materials for transport.
• Clean, refuel and maintain the vehicle.

Classification: Non-Exempt

Summary

The Driver plays a key role in the success of our business. The successful individual will be able to safely and efficiently complete customer collection routes with varying schedules and deadlines. This individual will interact with customers, employees, members of senior management, and regulatory representatives. Drivers must follow all safety and compliance regulations. In every case, this individual must present themselves with the professionalism and discretion appropriate for each interactive situation.

Drivers are equipped with a convertible hand truck to dolly heavier or multiple containers from the generator’s storage to our vehicle for transport.

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Collect containers from health care offices
• Drive vehicle to customer location along determined route collecting material for delivery to designated location
• Report for and successfully complete all training as required
• Prepare and report pre & post trip inspections
• Maintain Driver’s Hours of Service Log as required
• Review and sign manifests and shipping papers
• Provide customer training (manifesting, packaging, etc)
• Properly label, load and secure materials for transport
• Clean, wash and refuel vehicle as needed
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

• Able to work an agreed upon standard schedule
• Additional hours as job duties demand

Travel - Other

• Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities when necessary (less than 10%)
• Must have a current, valid driver's license
• Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
