Position Overview

All interested applicants for a Non-CDL Driver position, including those who are fully qualified with appropriate license and endorsements, start as a Driver in Training. We invest heavily in training and development to ensure our drivers are the best in the business.

A Driver in Training will be trained to obtain necessary endorsements, learn company policies, and complete all training requirements. Upon successful completion, they will be placed in a Non-CDL Driver role.

Responsibilities

• Operate a vehicle safely along designated routes to transport students.
• Report on time and maintain schedule.
• Assist passengers in emergencies.
• Report accidents or incidents immediately.
• Follow policies on student and passenger management.
• Communicate issues to relevant personnel.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Complete required paperwork promptly.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues and clients.
• Utilize vehicle equipment safely, including lifts and radios.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old (25 for Tennessee School Bus Drivers).
• Possess or be able to obtain valid state licenses and certifications.
• Meet physical and medical requirements and pass drug screening.
• Successfully complete training programs.
• Practice defensive driving and safe work habits.
• Comply with all relevant legal and company requirements.
