Job summary

The Salvation Army Fairbanks Corps is seeking a Truck Driver (Non-CDL/DOT) to support daily warehouse operations, safety, and merchandise movement. This full-time role requires a valid Alaska driver's license and a clean driving history.

You will plan routes, inspect vehicles, assist with loading/unloading, and work with the Thrift Store Manager on production needs. The position emphasizes courteous service to customers and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Hold a valid Alaska driver’s license and clean driving/criminal history.
• Read maps, plan routes, and operate a two-way radio.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily routing based on store drop offs of processed material.
• Inspect trucks daily, checking air, water, oil and other components to ensure equipment is clean and well maintained.
• Assist with onloading and offloading of merchandise.
• Work with the Thrift Store Manager to assist with production needs including receiving, sorting, pricing, and stocking the sales floor.
• Operate Salvation Army vehicle to pick up donations and transport to the Fairbanks Dump; keep the vehicle clean and serviced.
• Act as a Salvation Army representative ensuring courteous treatment for customers.
• Maintain warehouse/thrift store cleanliness inside and out.
• Assist with making and loading recycle bales.
• Support loss prevention by reporting incidents; notify management promptly.
