US Foods is hiring a Non CDL Driver to deliver foodservice products on a multi-stop route in the Buffalo area. The role requires a year of multi-stop delivery experience or six months local delivery and/or foodservice background, plus DOT medical clearance.

Expect a Mon-Fri shift 10:00 AM–6:30 PM with weekly pay and home daily. The position offers competitive pay starting at $28.13/hour, increasing to $32.13/hour after one year, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and

Responsibilities

• Deliver foodservice products to designated stops according to daily route.
• Load and unload the vehicle; use hand truck; navigate stairs as needed.
• Record delivery information with a hand scanner and complete required documentation.
• Ensure safe driving practices and DOT compliance; perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
• Collect payments if necessary and communicate issues to supervisor or customer service.

The Non CDL Driver is a delivery position responsible for driving a company vehicle limited to a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 25900. The position will be assigned stops to deliver foodservice products with a high level of service to customers. One year multi-stop delivery experience required or six month local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience. Must meet the medical requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT). All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00AM - 6:30PM *40h avg week, OT based on business needs

The Main Ingredients:

• - Lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis.
• - Load and unload the vehicle for multi-stop deliveries.
• - Transport deliveries by driving assigned vehicles.
• - Use hand truck to move product from the delivery vehicle into the customer location including going up and down stairs with product as necessary.
• - Accurately record delivery information including operating a hand scanner and all company required documentation.
• - Responsible for the proper documentation and disposition for any return product.
• - Communicate delivery- customer issues to proper authority (i.e., Customer Service, Territory Manager, Transportation Supervisor, etc.).
• - Deliver product to each of the designated stops following the stop sequence provided for the day.
• - Unload product safely and stage product in the space(s) designated by customer.
• - Check invoice for complete delivery. Process paperwork and damaged merchandise if any.
• - Collect payments if necessary.
• - Monitor refrigeration system on the delivery vehicle on a consistent basis for safety; follow all safe food handling procedures.
• - Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections such as monitoring fluid levels, tires, windshield wash and replenishing fuel.

What You Bring to the Table:

Education/Training:

• - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

Related Experience/Requirements:

• - Must be 21 years of age or older.
• - Valid U.S. driver's license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required. No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in the past three years, no driver's license suspensions in the past three years. Must be able to pass DOT physical.
• - One year multi-stop delivery experience required or 6 month local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience. Hand cart delivery experience preferred.
• - Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations.
• - Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• - Must pass pre-employment testing (including items such as a Background Check)
• - Have knowledge of area and/or map reading abilities.
• - Use safe lifting and loading techniques
• - Great interpersonal/customer service skills.
• - Availability to work on weekends, Holidays and overtime in order to service customers
