Job summary

Stamford Health seeks a full-time nocturnist to join our Hospitalist team at Stamford Hospital. The nocturnist will supervise, consult, and teach residents in the Department of Medicine and Family Practice, and provide inpatient medical coverage for surgery and OB/GYN residents as needed.

With 7 days on and 7 days off, this role offers a stable schedule in a 305-bed community teaching hospital, EPIC system, and a focus on inpatient primary care across medical floors and critical care areas.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with BE/BC in Internal Medicine preferred.
• CT license or ability to secure one in CT.
• Prior inpatient experience required to manage inpatient services.
• Excellent communication and critical care skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, consult, and teach residents in Medicine and Family Practice.
• Provide inpatient medical coverage for surgery and OB/GYN residents as needed.
• Deliver emergency inpatient coverage on the non-teaching service.
• Collaborate with Hospitalist colleagues to ensure high-quality patient care.

Stamford Health is seeking a full-time nocturnist to join our Hospitalist team. Stamford Hospital is a 305-bed, not-for-profit community teaching hospital affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. The incoming nocturnist will provide supervision, consultation, and teaching to residents in the Department of Medicine and Family Practice. The nocturnist will also provide medical consultation as necessary for surgery and OB/GYN residents and will provide emergency inpatient coverage of medical patients on the non-teaching medical service.
