Job summary

Stamford Health is seeking a full-time nocturnist to join our Hospitalist team at Stamford Hospital. The role involves supervision, consultation, and teaching to residents in Medicine and Family Practice, with emergency inpatient coverage as needed.

The nocturnist will work with 2-3 colleagues per shift, on a state-of-the-art 10-story tower, and provide care across general floors and critical care areas. Strong communication and inpatient experience are essential.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with Connecticut license or eligibility.
• BE/BC in Internal Medicine preferred.
• Prior inpatient experience required.
• Excellent communication and critical care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, consultation, and teaching to residents.
• Provide medical consultation for surgery and OB/GYN residents.
• Deliver emergency inpatient coverage on non-teaching service.
• Work with 2-3 nocturnists per shift.
• Inpatient primary care service on general floors and critical care areas.
