Essenti Talent is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a nocturnist team in Dothan, Alabama. You will provide overnight hospital-based care for adult patients, working closely with physicians to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role involves 12-hour night shifts from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM and requires the ability to work autonomously within a physician-led team. The ideal candidate holds a NP or PA license with board certification and has inpatient or critical care

Qualifications

• Required ability to practice autonomously within a physician-led hospital
• Experience in inpatient, critical care, or acute care settings preferred
• Strong decision-making and clinical communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership

Responsibilities

• Perform 12-hour night shifts from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
• Provide comprehensive hospital-based care to adult patients.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Manage admissions, daily rounds, and cross-coverage duties.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and imaging results.
• Adjust medications and treatments as needed.
• Respond promptly to overnight patient condition changes.
• Document and communicate patient activities clearly to the team.
