Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Network Operations Tier I Analyst to join our CBP network management team. This hybrid role supports CBP networks across locations in Orlando, FL; Ashburn, VA; or Springfield, VA, with on-site shifts as needed.

You will triage incidents, monitor network services, provide customer support, document status, and assist with WAN/LAN/MAN operations in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 0 years’ experience or Associate’s degree and 2 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 4 years experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain CBP background investigation (up to 12 months).
• Experience with routing, switching, firewall support, and load balancing.
• OSi model layers 1–3 understanding.
• TCP/IP and core network technologies knowledge.
• Experience providing service desk and phone support.
• Knowledge of Cisco switches/routers.
• Hands-on familiarity with Cisco ASA firewalls.
• Understanding of F5 load balancers.
• Experience with network monitoring tools.
• Experience using ServiceNow in a NOC environment.
• Understanding of incident/change/problem management processes.
• Ability to work shift schedules including on-site days.

Responsibilities

• Triage enterprise events and incidents, aiming for quick resolution or escalation to Tier 2.
• Provide polite, friendly customer service.
• Monitor network services and respond to events and alarms; assist incident management.
• Document incident status and solutions in incident databases.
• Support service and change requests for WAN/LAN/MAN environments.
• NOC operates 24/7/365; expect shift-based on-site work.
• Work as part of the NOC Team to maintain network performance and stability.
