Job summary

iboss is seeking a NOC Technician responsible for monitoring and maintaining global data center ecosystems. Duties include provisioning points of presence, responding to faults to meet SLAs, and coordinating with DevOps, support, and vendors.

The role requires 1 year of tech support or data center ops, Linux and Windows admin skills, and the ability to work 11:00pm–7:30am EST while prioritizing incidents under pressure.

Qualifications

• 1 year of professional tech support or data center ops experience.
• Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Windows/sysadmin experience.
• Ability to prioritize incidents quickly under pressure.
• Basic OSI model and internetworking understanding.
• Bachelor's degree or working toward one.
• Linux experience across major distros (RHEL/CentOS/Debian).
• Availability for night shift 11:00pm–7:30am EST.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain iboss monitoring systems and data center ecosystems.
• Provision new points of presence or nodes across locations.
• Respond to faults to meet internal and external SLAs.
• Follow escalation procedures to engage key resources.
• Collaborate with DevOps, support, sales and vendors for maintenance.
• Create and maintain documentation on PoPs and procedures.
• Migrate and restore iboss nodes and VNS clusters.

Job Description

The NOC Technician at iboss is responsible for monitoring and maintaining our global data center ecosystems.

• Managing and maintaining iboss monitoring systems
• Provisioning new points of presence or nodes within existing or new points of presence
• Responding to the system and/or network faults to ensure internal and external SLAs are met
• Following escalation procedures to engage key resources to respond to critical events
• Working with internal stakeholders (DevOps, support, sales) and 3rd party vendors to schedule maintenance.
• Create and maintain documentation related to global points of presence and procedures
• Migrating and restoring iboss nodes and VNS clusters

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• 1 Year of professional technical support or data center operations experience
• Strong diagnostic/troubleshooting skillset
• Windows/Sysadmin experience
• Ability to assess and prioritize incidents quickly while under pressure
• Basic understanding of the OSI model and internetworking
• Bachelor's Degree or working towards a bachelor's degree
• Linux Experience (RHEL, CentOS, Debian, etc.)
• Availability to work 11:00pm - 7:30am EST
