Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a NOC Lead to supervise 24/7 network operations for a federal-focused environment. On-site in Manassas, VA and Washington, DC, you will lead incident response, ensure availability, performance, and security of enterprise systems, and drive reliability across complex IT infra.

The role requires 5–10 years in IT/Network operations with 2–5 years in leadership, extensive Cisco/Arista tech experience, and a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in IT operations, network operations, or systems administration, with 2–5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with enterprise technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing/switching, firewalls, Cisco (IOS-XE, NX-OS), and Arista (EOS).
• Strong experience with incident management, root cause analysis, SLA-driven environments, and 24/7 operations.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience) in IT, Networking, or related field.
• Active Top Secret clearance (within the last 5 years) or DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system, network, and application performance while ensuring continuous operational availability
• Lead incident response efforts, manage escalations, and coordinate service restoration across teams
• Supervise and mentor NOC staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs and effective shift operations
• Oversee change management, maintenance activities, and vendor coordination
• Drive process improvements, reporting, and compliance with SLA and operational standards
