Job summary

Northern California Behavioral Health System is seeking a House Supervisor to provide nursing leadership and ensure smooth hospital operations on the NOC shift. You will oversee admissions, staffing, and care coordination across units, directing multidisciplinary teams and maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality of care.

The position requires an active California RN license, BLS, and Handle with Care certification, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license is required.
• BLS certification either current or obtained during orientation.
• Handle with Care certification or obtained during orientation.
• BSN degree preferred, leadership experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversee admissions/discharges with A&R.
• Supervise unit operations and review treatment plans.
• Audit seclusion/restraint interventions on shift.
• Monitor supply inventories and arrange replenishment.
• Alert AOC on urgent events and incidents.
• Prepare daily shift reports and handoff to NM/CNO.
• Investigate incidents and coordinate staff education.
• Direct supervising nurses and provide performance feedback.
• Support orientation and ongoing staff education on policies and regulations.
• Ensure timely shift-to-shift reporting and staffing decisions.
