Job summary

Kentfield and San Francisco Specialty Hospital in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Nursing Unit Manager for per diem NOC shifts to oversee the assigned nursing unit.

You will supervise nursing care, delegate tasks, and collaborate with staff to deliver high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's in Nursing, be licensed as RN in California, and have leadership and management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or in a current program with completion date within two years.
• Current, valid RN license in the state of employment.
• Minimum one year nursing management experience.
• Minimum three years nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from The American Heart Association are required.

At Kentfield, we work in close partnership with patients and families to help achieve the best possible outcomes.POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for the overall operations for the assigned nursing unit and ensures the delivery of efficient, high quality patient care. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Works with employees and other managers to develop systems and procedures necessary for daily operations, and provides training, information and support to solve problems and accomplish assigned objectives.This position is a per diem NOC shift based in our Sabn Francisco facility.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in nursing or in current program with a completion date of 2 years required.Current, valid and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.Minimum one (1) year of nursing management experience required.Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience required.Current BLS and ACLS certifications from The American Heart Association, our approved vendor, are required.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:Critical care experience preferredExperience in an acute care setting preferred.Experience and knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management, workflow planning and staff development.Ability to manage the practice of nursing within the mission of the hospital.Demonstrated ability to participate in recruitment and hire qualified staff.Ability to project a professional image.Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
