Job summary

SF New Deal seeks a Deputy Director of Small Business Systems & Navigation to coordinate the SF small‑business support ecosystem. You will lead the No Wrong Door initiative, creating a shared intake and referral system and coordinating providers to connect businesses with capital, TA, and other resources.

This senior role spans strategy, partnerships, program operations, technology, and data, with accountability from prototyping to public launch and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in public policy, administration, or economics.
• Advanced degree preferred for leadership in complex programs.
• Experience with cross‑functional, multi‑stakeholder initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy, operating model, budget, and performance for No Wrong Door.
• Design intake, assessment, referrals, and follow‑up workflows.
• Oversee technology supporting intake, eligibility, referrals, and coordination.
• Manage staff, vendors, and cross‑functional workstreams to deliver on time and budget.
• Represent SF New Deal with senior external stakeholders and funders.
