Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Current license in State of Iowa.
• Geriatric experience desirable.
• Knowledge of medical, social and psychological needs of residents.
• Willing to perform non-professional duties.
• Able to supervise others.
• Well-groomed, courteous and patient with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and execute the medical care plan for nursing care.
• Abide by UP Home policies and interpret them to personnel, residents, staff and public.
• Communicate residents' status to families, physicians and health care team.
• Assume responsibility for nursing judgments and actions.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Participate in professional development and continuing education.
