Job summary

WesleyLife in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care, including wound care, IV therapy, and medication administration. Responsibilities include comprehensive health assessments, developing individualized care plans, entry of admissions into PCC for RNs, coordination with the care team, and maintaining infection control.

Iowa license required; LTC experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• State of Iowa RN or LPN license is required.
• Previous LTC experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, including wound care, IV therapy, and catheter management.
• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments with accurate documentation and monitoring for side effects.
• For RNs, conduct admission assessments into the Health Center and enter into PCC.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate and optimize resident care.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and infection control protocols.
