Job summary

Temple Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the 3C Med Surg unit (Full Time, Night flex). The role supports the RN with delegated patient care activities and adheres to the Hospital's Customer Service program in daily patient care.

The position reports to the Nurse Manager or designee. Required education includes a High School diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program, or current nursing student with a clinical rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant Program or current Nursing student with clinical rotation.
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN with patient care activities delegated to unlicensed nursing staff.
• Perform additional functions for which prepared, within scope of practice.
• Demonstrate the Hospital's Customer Service Program in all patient care activities.

Assists the RN by performing patient care activities delegated to the unlicensed nursing support staff as well as additional specific functions for which he/she has been prepared. Incorporates the concepts of the Hospital's Customer Service Program into all aspects of patient care activities. Accountable to the Nurse Manager or designee for all activities.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Trade School Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant Program or current Nursing student with satisfactory completion of at least one clinical rotation Required or
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required

Experience

• 1 year experience in a Nursing Assistant role Preferred

Licenses

• Basic Life Support Required
• Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred
