Skilled Wound Care in Alexandria, LA is seeking Trauma Surgeons to join a no-call, Monday–Friday practice that lets you keep your surgical skills while reducing burnout. The role is offered as full-time or part-time, with compensation that reflects independence and performance bonuses.

You will perform debridement and bedside procedures, manage complex wounds in post-acute settings, and lead wound-care initiatives across SNFs, enjoying predictable hours and meaningful patient relationships.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license: required or eligible to obtain one.
• Open background: surgeons from all backgrounds welcome; training provided in wound care.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical debridement and bedside procedures as part of wound care.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds (pressure injuries, post-surgical wounds).
• Use advanced dressings and follow wound protocols to optimize healing.
• Collaborate with skilled nursing facilities and post-acute teams to monitor patient progress.
