Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Austin, TX seeks Trauma Surgeons to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This no-call role offers Monday-Friday schedules with part-time or full-time options, enabling you to maintain surgical skills while avoiding overnight shifts.

You bring an MD or DO and an unrestricted license; training in wound care is provided. Independent contractor opportunities with per-patient pay and bonuses are available, with a focus on healthier work-life balance.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted medical license or eligibility to obtain one in the practicing state.
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open to diverse backgrounds; comprehensive wound care training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical and bedside debridement and other wound care procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Administer advanced dressings and wound protocols in post-acute settings.
• Collaborate with facilities to follow patients through healing.
