Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Inland Empire, CA is seeking a General Surgeon to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This no-call role lets you practice outside the high-pressure hospital environment while applying your surgical skills in a meaningful way.

We offer part-time or full-time schedules with weekday hours and a compensation potential up to $500,000 per year for top performers, plus per-patient and per-procedure pay and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• Medical degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Medical license to practice in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open Background: we welcome General Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds; no prior wound care experience required, we provide wound care training.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
