Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Sarasota, FL is seeking General Surgeons to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities, with a no-call lifestyle and weekday hours. Full-time or part-time roles available, offering high earning potential through per-patient and per-procedure pay plus bonuses.

Requirements include an MD or DO, unrestricted license in Florida (or eligibility), and a DEA license (or eligibility). Prior wound care experience is not required as training is provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• No prior wound care experience required; comprehensive wound care training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical debridement and bedside wound care procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds.
• Use advanced dressings and wound protocols.
• Collaborate with skilled nursing facilities and post-acute care teams to follow patients through healing.
