Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Birmingham, AL is hiring Bariatric Surgeons to lead wound care initiatives across skilled nursing facilities. This no-call, Monday-Friday role offers clinical autonomy and the chance to practice outside the high-pressure hospital setting, with part-time or full-time options.

Salary ranges from $250,000 to $500,000 per year for full-time, with per‑patient/per‑procedure pay and quarterly bonuses. MD or DO with Alabama license and DEA are required; wound care training provided.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA License: Eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and bedside procedures as part of wound care leadership.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings, following patients through healing.
