Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Los Angeles, CA is hiring a Bariatric Surgeon to join our no‑call, Monday–Friday surgical team. This role focuses on wound care leadership in skilled nursing facilities, offering clinical autonomy outside the hospital environment.

You will perform bedside procedures, debridement, and chronic wound care while earning a competitive salary ($200k–$300k+ for top performers) with per‑patient and per‑procedure pay and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome Bariatric Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds, as well as Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians. No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non‑healing and complex wounds
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post‑acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
