Qualifications

• Degree in public health, mental health, social work, or project management.
• Certification/qualifications appropriate to Kentucky requirements.
• Experience with adults and children preferred in schools and communities.
• Understanding of evidence-based prevention strategies and programs.
• Ability to oversee management of funding ethically and timely.
• Develop and deliver professional learning regionally and nationally.

• Perform related duties as assigned by the Executive Director or designee.

Description

Job Summary: The Project Coordinator will provide project oversight, including maintaining communication with the funder, ensuring project activities are completed on time and within budget, and submitting reports on time as required. The project coordinator will manage stakeholder engagement and regional partnerships to support improvement efforts around substance misuse.

Overall, the Project Coordinator will manage the project's day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall project coordination to ensure high-quality implementation of grant plans and management of funds for the stated purpose
• Facilitate networks to support increased knowledge and understanding of priority content
• Maintain ongoing professional communication with all project participants and partners to ensure successful project progress
• Lead initiatives to ensure goals and objectives are completed on time and within budget
• Ensure lines of supervision and communication are clear and executed across all stakeholders
• Submit all reports and all required documents to ensure compliance with funding
• Convene stakeholders, keep appropriate records, and submit data timely to create reports to the funder and community
• Train stakeholders to assess, build capacity, plan, implement, and evaluate activities and project progress
• Travel as required
• Perform related duties as assigned by the Executive Director or designee

Qualifications

• Degree in a public health, mental health, social work, project management, and demonstrated relevant experience
• Certification/qualifications appropriate to Kentucky requirements in that field.
• Experience working with adults and children preferred, including familiarity with resources and needs regarding supports in our schools and communities
• An understanding of evidence-based substance abuse prevention strategies and programs is preferred
• Understanding of evidence-based substance abuse prevention strategies and programs
• Ability to maintain oversight of the management of funding ethically, accurately, and in a timely manner
• Offer guidance and collaboration across the region
• Develop and deliver professional learning to targeted audiences regionally and nationally
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
• Compile, analyze, and report (communicate) data
• Maintain current knowledge of program rules, regulations, requirements, and restrictions
• Analyze situations accurately and develop an effective course of action
