The Plymouth Rock Company seeks a PIP Associate to adjust first party personal injury claims in New Jersey under state compliance guidelines. The role emphasizes service, patient contact, and accurate claim disposition within a small team.

Responsibilities include handling NJ PIP and Extended Medical Expense Benefit claims, processing reports, medical bill review, and regulatory adherence. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.

Responsibilities

• Handle New Jersey Personal Injury Protection and Extended Medical Expense Benefit claims.
• Receive 3 to 5 first reports daily with a priority on service, patient contact, and claim disposition.
• Perform first reports, Image Right tasks, medical bill review, treatment monitoring, reserve assessment and Nursing interaction.
• Maintain an effective follow-up system on pending files, prioritize and handle multiple tasks, adjust to fluctuating workload, advise injured parties on claim status.
• Investigate and interpret policy provisions to make a coverage determination.
• Functional knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy related to Personal Injury Protection is preferred but not required.
• Must multitask in time-sensitive situations.
• Ensure that service, loss and expense control are adhered to.
• Adhere to privacy guidelines, law and regulations pertaining to claims handling.
• Strong customer service, organization, verbal and written skills, and ability to work in a small team.
