Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in Waldwick, New Jersey, is looking for compassionate Medication Aides/Technicians to assist residents in managing their medications and Activities of Daily Living. This role is essential to the care and safety of the residents. Candidates should have a New Jersey state med tech certification and an HHA certificate, with experience in caring for individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia preferred. The position requires reliability and the ability to work one weekend day per week.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus.
• Maintain an abiding respect for the elderly and remain calm at all times.
• Must be extremely reliable, dependent, and observant.
• Ability to work one weekend day per week.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Following all policies and procedures and adhering to the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor.
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all residents.
• Following Medication Administration Records (MAR) and doctors’ orders.
