Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Huntsville is seeking a Part Time Ninja Zone Coach in Huntsville, AL to inspire and train children aged 3-12 in Ninja Zone classes. You will lead activities that build agility, strength, coordination, and confidence, while ensuring a safe, engaging learning environment.

The role emphasizes positive communication with parents, dedication to child development, and the ability to motivate kids through fun, structured sessions aligned with our Ninja Zone program.

Qualifications

• Previous experience coaching gymnastics, martial arts or related disciplines preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of Ninja Zone or similar programs is a plus. Training and certification will be provided.
• Ability to work well with children and motivate them to achieve their goals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and be a team player.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Salary Range: $14.00 - $16.00 Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. As a Ninja Zone Coach, it is your responsibility to inspire and train children in the fastest growing Ninja Sport in the industry. The coach must be able to interact effectively with children, ages 3-12 years old, and their parents/guardians. This position is great for individuals with backgrounds in gymnastics, martial arts, or parkour but is not required.

Instructors need to be in excellent physical condition to lead classes and perform exercises correctly and safely.
