Job summary

The role emphasizes supervisory duties, collaboration with physicians and administrative teams, and adherence to Mercy Service Standards. Nursing leadership will drive process improvements and staff development.

Qualifications

• Requires nursing degree and active RN license in MO.
• Minimum 2–3 years of direct patient care experience; supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate operations and patient care for designated areas.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff and patients; mentor and develop staff to promote leadership.

Overview

Assists in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care of designated areas. Serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department. Functions as a staff nurse in the department as needed. Assumes managerial duties delegated by a manger. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

Required Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Required Licensure:

• Current RN license or temporary permit in the state of Missouri.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 2–3 years of direct patient care experience.

Required Certifications:

• Active BLS CPR Certification through the American Heart Association

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Licensure:

• Active RN license in good standing (if not already listed above).

Experience:

• Prior supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in a Med/Surg setting is highly desirable.
