Job summary

Advocate Health Union Emergency Department seeks a Supervising Registered Nurse to oversee patient care in a 34-bed ED and a 10-bed Behavioral Health Holding Unit. Full-time nights, 36 hours weekly, with a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, and BLS; ACLS is due within 6 months. Inpatient RN experience and ED background are preferred for this pivotal leadership position.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• 6 months RN experience minimum; not a new graduate.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• 2 years inpatient RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead with evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and clear communication to ensure patient safety and the best experience.
