This position has a residency waiver and is open to applications from both residents and non-residents of Colorado. It is open to all legal residents of the United States. Applicants from outside Colorado must relocate at their own expense prior to starting if appointed. This recruitment may fill multiple vacancies.
The Division of Facilities Management is responsible for planning, designing, constructing, operating, maintaining, and managing CDHS facilities and campuses to promote safety, sanitation, and an effective environment for clients, youth, residents, consumers, and staff, enhancing quality of life across facilities.
Facilities managed include the Colorado Mental Health Hospital at Fort Logan, Department of Human Services headquarters, Wheat Ridge Regional Center, and Division of Youth Services facilities, covering approximately 1.9 million sq. ft. across multiple sites. The unit supports the Veterans Community Living Center as needed.
This role involves operating and maintaining the physical plant equipment within the Central Heat Plant, including performing operational functions, maintenance, repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include monitoring systems such as EMS, fire alarms, dispatch duties, and administrative documentation.
