Job summary

South Charlotte Nissan is seeking a lead Fleet and Used Car Service Technician for the night shift. Responsibilities include diagnostics, maintenance, and heavy repairs on fleet and pre-owned vehicles, with emphasis on accurate estimates and thorough records.

A strong focus on safety, teamwork, and customer communication underpins daily operations. The ideal candidate has automotive service experience, ASE certification or equivalent, and the ability to work nights.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an automotive service environment required.
• Must be able to work nights.
• ASE certification or equivalent experience.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills and attention to detail preferred.
• Professional communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and a current resident.
• Pre-employment background checks including MVR and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and heavy repairs on all makes, models, and fleet vehicles.
• Inspect, diagnose, and recondition pre-owned vehicles for lot-readiness.
• Use modern diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical, engine, and mechanical systems.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle needs and provide accurate estimates.
• Keep detailed records of services performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all safety and compliance guidelines.

Education
