Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel New York in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Bartender to join our energetic team. You will provide prompt, courteous service to bar guests, take orders, suggest drinks, and prepare and serve beverages while keeping the bar top clean and inviting.

The ideal candidate has at least four years of prior experience, preferably in a four- or five-star hotel, with excellent communication, composure under pressure, and a professional, guest-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• At least four years of prior bartending experience, preferably in a four- or five-star hotel.
• Ability to communicate clearly and stay patient under pressure.
• Professional, guest-focused approach.
• Comfort with reconciling transactions and cash handling.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Additional languages are a plus.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Bartender to join our team!

In this role, your day is shaped by movement, energy, and connection. You’ll spend your time providing prompt and courteous service to all bar guests, including taking orders, suggestive selling, preparing and serving beverages, and the clearing/setting of the bar top and tables.

You will play a key role in fostering a high‑energy environment driven by passion for excellence. This includes delivering fast, accurate service while maintaining a friendly, engaging presence with guests seated at the bar. You are expected to execute all responsibilities with professionalism, precision, and a consistent focus on creating an exceptional guest experience.

what You Will Rock

To thrive here, you bring at least four years of prior experience, ideally within a four‑ or five‑star hotel environment, along with the ability to communicate clearly, stay patient under pressure, and approach every situation with tact and professionalism.

You’re comfortable reconciling transactions at the end of each shift, cash out, and maintain a balanced bank. You ensure sequence of service is followed for all guests. You accommodate guests’ special requests whenever possible. You process payments according to POS and cash handling procedures and ensure all checks are closed out timely. If you speak additional languages beyond English, even better! You understand the rhythm of lifestyle hotels and you’re ready to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when the property is at its most vibrant.

This role is active and hands‑on. You’ll spend a good portion of your shift working with guests and with your team, assisting your coworkers as needed to complete the required activities and deliver amplified service. Always smiling and offering a warm greeting to all.

Compensation & Benefits

• This is a non‑union, hourly position $22.50
