Job summary

Aspiranet in Salinas, CA is seeking a Youth Specialist for a full-time, 6-month temporary position. This on-site role runs Sunday to Thursday, 11 PM to 7 AM, and focuses on care, supervision, and outreach to support youth development.

You will supervise youth at the Receiving Center, perform screenings, implement service plans, document activities, and coordinate with health staff and county workers. A high school diploma and two years’ youth experience are required, plus background checks and a

Qualifications

High School Diploma with two years’ experience working with children/youth in a similar service.
Must meet all state-required conditions of employment, including fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance.
TB/Health physical; Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

Supervise youth, including readiness for assessments and activities.
Implement youth service plans in coordination with Center team.
Identify needs for additional services and communicate findings during shift exchanges.
Complete youth intake and discharge, including screenings.
Administer prescribed medication per standards.
Assist center youth with personal and hygiene care.
