Job summary

US 1 Shorthaul in Eden, NC is seeking a Yard Jockey for a full-time night shift. You will move trailers with yard goats, perform inspections, and document truck conditions to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of over-the-road or trailer spotting experience within the last 3 years.
• Class A CDL preferred; local may substitute over-the-road experience.
• Must pass pre-hire background and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of dock using yard goats with accuracy.
• Perform yard audits at end of shift.
• Carry out pre- and post-trip inspections and report truck conditions.
• Follow safety-sensitivity guidelines for yard duties.
• Handle drop and hook tasks and assist as needed by management.
