Southcoast Behavioral Health in Dartmouth, Massachusetts is seeking a Part-Time Admissions Assistant to handle the admission and registration of incoming patients, ensuring accurate data entry and smooth workflow.

This role supports patient intake, verifies information, coordinates with clinical and nursing teams, and delivers courteous service while upholding patient safety and privacy in a busy behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Social Services field is a plus.
• One or more years' experience in healthcare preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet and assist new patients and those transporting patients on arrival.
• Handle clerical duties: paperwork, data entry, insurance claims liaison, and phone duties.
• Complete admission paperwork and escort patient and documents to appropriate location.
• Ensure timely and accurate admission process and notify staff of arrivals/transfers.
• Verify patient information and arrange necessary appointments with behavioral or medical staff.
• Provide courteous, empathetic service while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
• Document clinical information in medical records and registration systems.
• Assist with patient safety checks and supervision as required.
• Coordinate transportation for patients when needed.
• Engage patients in activities aligned with treatment goals.
